2011 POST EVENT REPORT
FOW returns to Amsterdam for the second year of its ‘European Equity Options Trading Forum’ which brings together the industry’s brightest options traders to discuss the latest developments, regulation and trends on the European stage. The event has not only found a home in Amsterdam, arguably the home of European options, but it has also generated a loyal following of options traders.
We have some extremely pertinent discussions planned with those institutions who are setting the agenda in this space.
We will be discussing whether MTF options will gain the same market share in options as they have in cash equities and how exchanges are responding to the MTF challenge; Whether OTC clearing is exposing clearing houses to greater risk; Whether Mifir and Mifid will succeed in promoting competition in European options trading and whether Europe will move towards a US model for equity options trading. Questions will be raise like how HFT should be defined and regulated; How to choose the right ETF. And we will be looking at Successful strategies for options trading including identifying opportunities in emerging markets and comparing the main stream European markets.
Please join us at the event, to meet and network with key participants in the European options industry: trading houses, market makers, hedge funds, banks, brokers, Index providers, exchanges, technology providers.
FOW Amsterdam will once again be a meeting place for the European options industry to discuss market developments and innovations in the options market.
