Derivatives World Turkey

11 May 2010

Istanbul, Istanbul

From 2001 to 2008 Turkey enjoyed the longest period of continuous economic growth on record. Supported by notable levels of political stability, it became one of the most popular emerging markets for international investors.

Rising in exposure as a global economy, and fostering the development of more liquid and efficient domestic capital markets, Turkey has allowed its derivatives industry to grow.

What’s next for the derivatives industry in Turkey? In May 2010 FOW’s Derivatives World Turkey will bring together high level executives from institutional investors, funds, corporate treasury, proprietary trading firms, banks, brokers, exchanges and technology providers, to examine how the industry can move forward and continue to meet the demands of a changing market place.

Derivatives World Turkey is the forum to drive your business forward in 2010 and beyond.

Derivatives World Japan

16 June 2010

Four Seasons Chinzan-so, Tokyo, Tokyo

Japan is Asia’s most mature derivatives market. Many in the industry feel that Japan will be the future centre for Asia’s derivatives business. However, there is recognition in the Japanese market that change is needed, and now it just needs to work out how to make the change.

  • Exchanges are facilitating market access and looking to increase liquidity in their flagship products, initiating remote membership programmes and co-location services.
  • Risk management has become a focus for investors concerned about their counter-parties’ credit worthiness.
  • Exchanges are investing in new technology and fighting hard to attract international traders.
  • Looking abroad for ideas – market developments in China & India.
  • Improving product lines, implementing market making schemes.

With the spirit of change in the air FOW travel to Tokyo to launch the inaugural Derivatives World Japan. FOW will bring together the key players in the market from bank, brokers, exchanges, investors, funds and corporate customers to look at how change can come about to drive the derivatives market forward to become a hub for Asian and global investment.
